About SAVVY MARINERS LLC
Welcome to this website. Decades associated with the Maritime sector, Internal Audits, Vessel Inspections, trouble shooting, and attended contingencies on hundreds of oil / chemical tankers, container vessels and bulk carriers have been conducted in recent years. Most industries are now shifting towards Automation, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and IoT (Internet of Things). So is the Maritime sector wherein construction of automated vessels is also in progress. Till such time that Robots finally takeover (and humans get thrown out of ships!!), the growing trend today is for remote monitoring of vessels. Many vessels have now installed such monitoring systems and more are in progress.
Integration of these advanced systems is expected to enhance vessel performance significantly. Benefits include improved operational efficiency, reduced fuel consumption, and a decrease in maintenance costs, all, while contributing to environmental protection. This has opened up huge opportunities for skilled Marine Engineers.
E-Book
Sneak Peek
Serious about professional growth and career prospects?
Here’s an e-book we offer to those planning on promotions to the rank of a Chief Engineer, and further professional growth:
Some of the topics covered in the ebook
- Developing Management Skills. Vessels are assets, anywhere up to 100, 200 million dollars or more in investments. Any manufacturing or service industry needs top level personnel with excellent management skills.
- Basics of Maintenance. The one word that is important to any business is reliability. It is not just reliability of the person-in-charge – a Chief Engineer or a Senior Executive, but also reliability of every operational aspect of the investment – in this case a ship. Understanding the basics opens up plenty of career opportunities.
- Human Performance. Judging human performance is not an easy task. It is a skill needed to develop as you rise to senior levels.
- Safety practices and Risk Assessments. Safety practices are an extremely important aspect of any job undertaken. Assessing risks while conducting any kind of work is a part of safety practices. Learning how to analyze situations with the goal of zero incidents / accidents is an absolute necessity.
The e-book that covers all of the above subjects, and much more, is offered on this website. SAVVY MARINERS LLC highly recommends referring this e-book on various jobs.
